10-th Anniversary of " The 4-Continents Collection " ( 2001 - 2011 )
Celebrating the 10-th anniversary of "The 4-Continents Collection" of Native Art, the founders have initiated this 2012 calendar project to showcase to a larger audience twelve highlights representing African Art. The connecting link between all these masks and sculptures is the high graphical expression and, equally, the concept of recurring geometrical shapes and patterns.
This wall calendar provides you with a 'decelerated' introduction to African Art, due to the black background shifting the focus entirely to the objects of art. Each piece is representing a complete month, thus allowing all viewers to carefully observe, to contemplate and to review again and again, depending on the varying moods and the lighting conditions.
This measured approach will hopefully allow you to discover through art the Spirit of Africa, sharing today the same experience as the founders of this collection shared 10 years ago.
